Message from Board President Bruno

As we come to the end of Teacher Appreciation Week, I would like to express on behalf of the Board, the gratitude we feel for your unyielding commitment to our children. All jobs serve a personal and societal purpose. But without teachers, no one learns to do anything meaningful. Teaching may at times seem to be an under appreciated profession.

I know there are days when your efforts collide with a myriad of barriers to learning. On those occasions think about what English art critic, John Ruskin said about work: “The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it.” To the young people in your classes you have become a path to a well examined life.
